Medical Skin Needling
Using the Dermapen 4 device, controlled micro-channels are created within the scalp to stimulate wound-healing pathways, encourage local circulation and support the release of growth factors associated with follicular activity. Microneedling has been shown in peer-reviewed studies to improve hair density and thickness, particularly when combined with adjunctive therapies.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is prepared using a small sample of your own blood, which is processed to concentrate platelets and naturally occurring growth factors. These growth factors are then delivered into the scalp through the skin needling process to support cellular signalling, vascular support and follicular function.
A 2019 systematic review published in Dermatologic Surgery concluded that PRP demonstrated statistically significant improvements in hair density and hair count in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
LED Light Therapy
LED light therapy is introduced approximately 48 hours following treatment to further support scalp recovery. Low-level light therapy has been associated with increased circulation, reduced inflammation and support of the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle.
A 2021 review in Lasers in Medical Science reported that low-level light therapy may improve hair density and thickness through photobiomodulation effects on hair follicles and scalp tissue.
